Still no camera.  Working on getting one, but no luck yet.  Painting a bit, and working on transport boxes, nice quality paint rack cabinets, and a foot-pedal operated DC fan so I can stop blowing on minis.  It's fun!

On a very bright note, multiple sword winner and all-around great guy Todd Swanson is going to share this web space.  The gallery has now been split into "Todd" and "Zach" and "both" instead of by manufacturer.  I'm very glad to have him and I think it will give both me and the site a shot in the arm.

This is a great link for making a really nice looking base.  It's in German but you can get the gist of it from the pictures.  I've got a lot of uprooted vines and small trees in my yard so I should be able to find some of the natural materials easily enough.  Tree Base

The classes were really good, and I hope/think everyone got a lot out of them.  I'll put some of the class materials up on the tips section soon.
One clarification- my magnet supplier is AMAZING magnets, and they are very good.  Pics of my GD entry Galadriel and GenCon entry from Dark Sword soon.

The "HOME" link now goes to the blog- just testing it out to see if it's any good and if anyone actually looks at it before I make more changes.

Added both pieces from Baltimore Gamesday 2008 in the gallery.  Also added a tutorial on how I do NMM in the tips section.  There are some large pictures though, so if you have a slow connection you will want to give it some time to load.

Added pics of Kelian Durek, from GenCon 2007.  Last 2 pieces were for Baltimore Games Day 2007.  They'll be up soon and then, sadly enough, I'll be all caught up.

Ok, house is sort of in better shape and the new baby is old enough to sit for a few minutes without screaming, so I can get back to the important stuff.  Of course I still don't have a great camera- we spent all this money on a new one last year but the macro function isn't anywhere near as good as the old Nikon I had.  So I am still working on pictures of last years Golden Demon entries, for fantasy single and LoTR single as well as the last 2 Rackham pieces that I did, over a year ago now!

Sorry it's been so long since updates, but work has been brutal! It's taken me two months to finish, but here is the first of many (I'm sure!) of Rackham's Cadwallon line. So much character in these sculpts and the quality is great. My old camera died and I had to get a new one, so it took me a couple of tries to get good pics. I actually had some up a few days ago, but have replaced them tonight. I have the whole line of Rackham paints now, and have had the opportunity to try the new P3 paints as well. I hope to have a review up soon.

GenCon was a lot of fun, as always. I was asked at the last minute to participate in the Aces of Painting- speed painting for charity. I thoroughly enjoyed it, though I'd never done it before. My entry placed 5th in the contest, pics are now up in the gallery.

Baltimore was a lot of fun. I came away with gold in both 40k single and LoTR single. Those figs are in the gallery now. I'll have Ehjin de vanth and one of Haldir's rangers up for sale soon- hopefully tomorrow.

Only a few more days to go until Baltimore. I've still got a lot of work to do, but I have 2 entries nearly done. Sorry for the delay with no updates, but it's been tough gettng any painting time lately.

I'm changing web hosts, so please bear with me if there's any downtime. I'll have pictures of the finished bishop up within a day or two, and I'll reformat the review to be more readable. Forums coming soon.

I have a ton of stuff in progress. Put a picture of the finished Sessair archer I did for Rackham in the gallery. I should have both the painted figure and the review done for the Bishop soon. I'm also working on some cast resin bases, a Golden Demon piece and I have taken on two commissions for the first time in a long time. More to come soon.

It's been a bit since my last update, but it's been busy! I have had a ton to do with work, but that's cleared up a bit with the holidays so I should have some time to do some painting. I'll have another Confrontation piece started soon and a review of the Revelation Miniatures Bishop up in the tips page within a few days. Also sent off the last parts of my NMM tutorial for the Darkson Designs Vol II book.

I won the Golden Toadstools this month with the Queen of the Clones. I consider myslef lucky since this is always a tough competition, thanks everyone for the votes and comments. I added a few larger pics and will try and enlarge the rest soon. I also put up two new things in the gallery, both from the Toronto Golden Demons in 2004.

GenCon is over and we had a really good time. There were some really, really good entries in the painting contest this year, and I was lucky enough to get third place in both single figure (with my converted Queen of the clones) and third in unit as well. There's a convention report up on the tips page.
